All Write Now was born out of something simple: a deep appreciation for vintage fountain pens. Long before we ever dreamed of selling pens, we were collecting them, using them, learning and talking about them. We found that we had a special affinity for early ebonite and celluloid pens, especially eyedropper fillers.
That affinity led us to search for modern pens that shared the beauty and integrity of those early instruments. And we found them half a
world away, in India, where a generations-old tradition of artisan fountain pen making was still holding on, against all odds, in the
face of what some people call "progress."
When we learned that these wonderful pens were not available outside India, we took a deep breath and dove directly into the deep end of the pool, finding (or inventing) ways around the hurdles that stood between the pens and a world community of eager writers. We are proud, today, to be the exclusive North American representatives for VarunaTM Fountain Pens and Guider Pens.
Our policies and practices are grounded, we hope, in a collector's sensibilities. Because we have faced the disappointment of falling in love with a pen that one cannot readily afford, we have set our prices at what we think are very reasonable levels. Because we are fountain pen users ourselves, we carefully inspect each and every pen we sell, adjusting nibs as necessary to ensure faultless performance. Because we enjoy Italic and stub nibs, we have contracted with a painstaking & reliable nib grinder to make these custom nib styles available at modest additional cost. Because we appreciate the beauty and writing qualities of solid gold nibs, we offer 14K nibs as an optional upgrade.
We understand and share the expectations of other fountain pen users, we stand behind our nibs with a Lifetime Guarantee, frankly inspired by Sheaffer's original: if one of our nibs ever fails to deliver satisfactory performance, simply return it for a replacement.
We are still learning. We are always searching for interesting pens to share with our fellow enthusiasts: modern pens that are the equal of the vintage pens we treasure.
